The EYFS initiative places a strong emphasis on working together and sharing observations on the child's learning and development. Successful cooperation between parents and teachers is important and so we encourage a culture of cooperation and continuous exchange between parent and teacher. 

All parents are invited to participate in the assessment process of their child beginning with the initial profile or 'start point' and All About Me on entry which is carried out with the keyperson. Further  assessments are made during the year and parents are invited to contribute.

'Book time' working group
Held on the Nivan Lodge Pre-school Nursery premises, the children's mums and dads are invited to come and read stories to the children. This has been very popular with the children especially, and feedback from the parent's has found that they have enjoyed the experience too!
